LEXINGTON, Va.- Saturday's ODAC Cross Country Championships marked the end of the inaugural season for Sweet Briar College cross country.
First-year Victoria Lawson led the way for Sweet Briar, finishing 62nd overall in a time of 28:44. Not far behind on the 6k course was Lawson's classmate Jessie Melrose, who finished 73rd overall and stopped the clock at 30:46.
The pack of Lydia Gullicksen, Claire Zak, Kim Uglum, and Bailey Jones rounded out the Vixen finishers on Saturday.
Preseason favorites Washington & Lee University won both the men's and women's races for the second year in a row.
Today's race concluded the team's debut season under head coach Megan Behrle, who will be looking to reload for next fall.
