LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Sweet Briar College swim team concluded the first annual Central Virginia Duals at the Liberty University Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. SBC split its duals against Ferrum College and Roanoke College, falling to the Maroons 221-74 and beating Ferrum, 159-113.
LYNCHBURG, Va.- Day one of the Central Virginia Duals got underway on Friday night at the recently opened Liberty University Natatorium. The two-day event is serving at the grand opening of Liberty's newest athletic facility. The duals feature a number of schools from across the central Virginia region which SBC will be competing against, including Ferrum College and Roanoke College.
SWEET BRIAR, Va.- The Sweet Briar College swim team split a double-duel meet held on Wednesday evening in the Prothro Natatorium. SBC bested Ferrum College, 106-65, and dropped the duel against Bridgewater College, 157-39.
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va.- The Sweet Briar College swim team picked up its first duel victory of the season by downing ODAC opponent Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon at Hampden-Sydney College. SBC edged out the Marlins, 93-76.
SWEET BRIAR, Va.- The Sweet Briar College swim team hosted Gallaudet University on Saturday afternoon for the team's first home duel of the season. The Hampden-Sydney College team was also on hand to swim against the Gallaudet men.
LEXINGTON, Va.- The annual ODAC Relays were held on Saturday afternoon at Washington and Lee University to signal the start of the collegiate swimming season. The Sweet Briar College swim team was voted to finish seventh the conference this year and upheld that vote by claiming the same spot in the 11-team relay meet.
SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Sweet Briar College swim team opened its 2017-18 campaign at the Women's College Invitational, hosted by Converse College. The two-day event featured seven schools from across the mid-Atlantic and wrapped up on Saturday evening.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced it's 2016-17 Sportsmanship Teams and eight Sweet Briar student-athletes have been selected to the team for their respective sport. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaches staffs of each team competing under the banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
