WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sweet Briar won five events on Saturday in the Vixens' final dual meet of the season hosted by Gallaudet University.
The Bison edged the Vixens 74-70 in the team competition.
Dharma Kear won the 1650-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 22:48.94, topping her previous time of 23:40.51 during the 2017-18 season.
Kear picked up her second victory of the meet in the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall with a time of 2:50.58.
Elizabeth Martin and Nora Florio finished first and second, respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle. Martin finished with a personal-best time of 1:17.34, while Florio's 1:22.40 was the best time of her career in the event.
Shaw touched second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.72.
Kear was second in the 500-yard freestyle finishing at 6:36.79, followed by Jones in fourth at 7:12.61 and Florio in fifth at 7:52.88.
The final individual event saw Martin finish second, with a personal-best time of 1:34.23 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The 200-yard freestyle relay saw the Vixens finish first with a time of 2:26.18. The Sweet Briar relay was comprised of Jones, Shaw, Martin and Florio.
Sweet Briar heads to Greensboro, N.C. on February 15 for the three-day ODAC Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
