VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Sweet Briar fell 13-0 in midweek ODAC action on Wednesday at Foster Field, as Sweet Briar goalkeeper Caroline Thomas made 15 saves against Virginia Wesleyan.
The eventual winner came in the second minute when Camryn Terry scored off an assist from Ann Marie Moffett.
The Marlins took a 9-0 lead into halftime, before scoring four goals in the second period of play.
Thomas tallied 11 saves in the opening 45 minutes, while stopping four shots after halftime.
Sweet Briar returns home on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff against No. 24 Lynchburg.
