SWEET BRIAR, Va.- The Sweet Briar College soccer team celebrated Senior Day while hosting Randolph College on Wednesday afternoon. The WildCats spoiled Sweet Briar's home finale by winning the match, 5-0.
Junior Caroline Thomas played all 90 minutes in goal for the Vixens and made ten saves. The Appomattox, Va. native now has 98 saves on the season.
First-year Caylin Newman created SBC's best scoring opportunity late in the match when she had a breakaway down the right sideline and sent a bending shot on goal that was parried away by Randolph's keeper.
The Vixens will wrap up the 2017 season on Saturday, Oct. 28, when they travel to face archrival Hollins University, who SBC has beaten in their last three meetings. The match will get underway at 2 p.m.
