BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — Sweet Briar senior Rebecca Parrish finished 26th overall, while the Vixens placed sixth at the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship at the Champions Course at Bryan Park.
Sweet Briar improved after day one, which saw the Vixens card a team score of 507 and Parrish (Abingdon, Md.) post the Vixens' low-round of the day with a 120.
Day two featured the teams playing 36 holes to avoid inclement weather headed toward Browns Summit.
The Vixens posted their lowest round of the tournament in the first 18 holes of Monday with a team score of 494, led by Parrish's 111. Parrish carded a 113 over the final loop around the course as Sweet Briar recorded a team score of 496.
Parrish finished 26th overall after a combined 344 (+125), while sophomore Meagan Phister's (Moneta, Va.) 371 (+152) was good for 28th in the 32-player field.
Senior Marina Biel (Palmyra, Va.) and first-year Kaitlyn Hawk (Goochland, Va.) finished tied for 29th with matching scores of 391 (+172), while first-year Kendall Nicely (Glen Allen, Va.) notched a 422 (+203) over 54 holes to finish 31st.
Washington & Lee was the team champion with a team score of 933 (+57), while Bridgewater's Christina Herbert was the individual medalist at 224 (+5).
