ROANAOKE, Va. — Sweet Briar senior Rebecca Parrish was the Vixens low scorer at both the Hollins Spring Invitational and Hollins Classic at Hunting Hills Country Club on Friday and Sunday.
With the course set at 5801 yards on Friday, Parrish (Abingdon, Md.) finished 13th on the invidual leaderboard with a 47-over 119. Parrish improved her score from Friday in the Hollins Classic on Sunday with a 42-over 114, to finish 10th.
Sophomore Meagan Phister (Moneta, Va.) finished 15th on Friday (+59, 131), before placing 13th on Sunday (+62, 134).
First-year Kaitlyn Hawk (Goochland, Va.) was 16th on Friday (+61, 133), while finishing 14th Sunday (+65, 137). Finishing a spot behind Hawk on Friday was senior Marina Biel (Palmyra, Va.) in 17th (+62, 134), Biel was 12th on Sunday (+57, 129).
First-year Kendall Nicely (Glen Allen, Va.) at 18th (+71, 143), senior Emily Hawk (Goochland, Va.) in 19th (+74, 146) and junior Nicole Sabovik in 22nd (+86, 158) rounded out the Vixens' lineup on Friday.
Nicely was 11th on Sunday (+47, 119) at the Hollins Classic.
As a team, Sweet Briar shot a 517 (+229) on Friday to finish fourth, before finishing third with a 496 (+208) on Sunday.
Southern Virginia was the team champion at the Hollins Spring Invitational with a combined 416 (+128), while Virginia Wesleyan's Maggie Kingora was the individual medalist with a 16-over 88.
The Hollins Classic was won by Emory & Henry at 134-over, 422. Kingora again was the individual medalist on Sunday after shooting an 83 (+11).
