Golf Announces Spring Slate of Matches

SWEET BRIAR, Va.- After a handful of fall matches, the Sweet Briar College golf team is set to begin their inaugural spring season in 2017. The Vixens will be competing at a number of tournaments throughout the region and then conclude their season at the annual Old Dominion Athletic Conference Golf Championships.

SBC will kickoff its season at Eastern University's Battle at the Bay. The two-day tournament is held March 26-27 and will be contested on the Rising Sun Course of Chesapeake Bay Golf Club.

The Vixens will then take to the links for the Hollins University Invitational, held at Glade Springs Golf Course in Daniels, W.Va. The invite will take place April 9-10.

A dual against rival Hollins is also scheduled for April 15 at Ashley Plantation Country Club in Daleville, Va.

First-year head coach Blaise Whittle is also hopeful to add a few more duals at the Vixens home course, Poplar Grove Golf Club.

To wrap up an exciting debut season, the Vixens will be competing in their first conference tournament. The ODAC Championships will be held April 23-25 at the Stoney Creek Golf Club, which is located at the base of Wintergreen Resort.
