Danielle Delude is in her ninth year in the Sweet Briar College Athletic Department. Delude serves as the Director of Strength and Conditioning and Senior Woman Administrator. She also the oversees to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and is in charge of all compliance efforts at Sweet Briar.
Delude became assistant strength & conditioning in 2013 and moved into the head role in the fall of 2015. She designs and implements programs for all Sweet Briar athletic teams and works closely with the sports medicine staff to provide effective rehabilitative plans for student-athletes.
In 2012, Delude took over leadership training for student athletes at Sweet Briar. In 2016, Delude attended the NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop in support of this mission. Over the past six years, dozens of students at Sweet Briar have passed through her leadership program.
Delude was hired at Sweet Briar in 2009 as Head Softball Coach and Recruiting Facilitator. She guided the Vixen softball team for eight seasons. Before Sweet Briar, she was the Head Softball Coach at her alma mater, Stonehill College (MA). Delude coached numerous all conference and all-academic players while at Stonehill and led the Skyhawks to their highest win total (23) in two decades.
Delude resides on campus at Sweet Briar with her dogs Toby and Zooey. She is a member of Women Leaders in College Sports and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Three-Star Master Coach.
