ASHLAND, Va.- The Sweet Briar College field hockey team hit the road on Wednesday afternoon to take on Randolph-Macon College. The host Yellow Jackets score eight first-half goals on way to a 14-0 victory.
First-year Rosemary Austin started her ninth game in the cage for the Vixens and made 16 saves in the contest. The Commerce Township, Mich. native now has 160 saves on the season and entered the match leading Division III with an 18.00 saves-per-game average.
The Vixens will return home this weekend and face Virginia Wesleyan University beginning at 12:30 p.m. The match is part of a busy Families Weekend, that will also feature a soccer match at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
