  • Six Vixens Earn All-State Academic Honor

    The Virginia Sports Information Directors announced its Academic All-State team on Tuesday and a total of 221 student-athletes, representing 37 schools in the state were recognized.

    Sweet Briar Field Hockey player Addie Hedge (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mt. Tabor) and Vixen Soccer player Ali Lifka (Arden, N.C./T.C. Roberson) both earned spots on the 2012 ODAC/StellarOne Sportsmanship Teams. Hedge makes a repeat appearance on the ODAC sportsmanship squad. The sophomore also earned the accolade during her rookie season.
  • Mergenthaler Garners ALL-ODAC Honors

    Defender Eve Mergenthaler has been named to the 2012 ALL-ODAC Field Hockey Team. Mergenthaler was named to the Second Team for her play for the Vixens and was among six first-years players conference-wide to be selected to the team.
