Tom Boylan joined the Sweet Briar College tennis staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2008. Boylan brings a vast amount of athletic and business experience to the Sweet Briar Tennis program.

A member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) for over 10 years, Boylan is also an associate member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR). His playing experience includes numerous USTA and Club doubles tournaments as well as participation in both men's and mixed leagues.

Additionally, Boylan brings experience from his position as Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs at Cleveland State University where he was responsible for the athletic fundraising and sports marketing areas. Boylan has a MBA from Lake Erie College and also holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Cleveland State University.  His experience and knowledge of the inner workings of an athletic department coupled with his tennis background serves the Sweet Briar tennis program well both on and off the court.
