Student-Athletes Honored at Annual Awards Banquet
On Friday, May 4, the Sweet Briar athletics department held the annual varsity awards banquet. The event took place in the Fitness and Athletic Center on Sweet Briar’s campus. Upchurch transformed from field house to student-athlete showcase for the end of the year ceremony. The program began with an address by Sweet Briar College president, Jo Ellen Parker.

SBC Hosts Vixen Dash for Special Olympians
The Sweet Briar athletics department hosted a regional Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA) event on Sunday, April 22. SOVA Olympians from Campbell County and Lynchburg City were invited to attend the first installment of the Vixen Dash. ODAC/StellarOne Sportsmanship Teams Announced
FOREST, Va. --- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2012 ODAC/StellarOne Sportsmanship Teams in each of five winter sports sponsored by the conference. Vixens Take Pride in Honoring Seniors
The Sweet Briar swimming team celebrated a 115-49 victory over newly-added ODAC rival Greensboro College in their final home meet of the season. The day began with a ceremony honoring seniors Brittany Fox, Charlotte Greenwood and Emily Jones and ended with a rousing performance by those same seniors in the 200M Freestyle Relay.

First-year Swimmer Receives November Vixen of the Month Honor

Record Breaking Day
The Vixen swimming team took victories in eight events on Saturday afternoon to earn wins on both ends of their double dual meet. Sweet Briar defeated Emory and Henry 59-23 and beat Guilford 64-18. The Vixens had many standouts, including Chloe Day ('15/Barrington, R.I.) who set a new Sweet Briar record in the 100M Backstroke.
