Student-Athletes Honored at Annual Awards Banquet
On Friday, May 4, the Sweet Briar athletics department held the annual varsity awards banquet. The event took place in the Fitness and Athletic Center on Sweet Briar’s campus. Upchurch transformed from field house to student-athlete showcase for the end of the year ceremony. The program began with an address by Sweet Briar College president, Jo Ellen Parker.

First Tournament Game No Contest for Sweet Briar College
In the opening game of the 2011 Bryn Mawr Tournament, the host Owls easily handled cross-town foe Rosemont College. The Ravens failed to generate much on attack; they tallied only one shot for the entire game.
