Lynchburg Upends Lacrosse

SWEET BRIAR, Va.  --- It was another beautiful spring afternoon at Babcock Field for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup between the Sweet Briar College Vixens and the Lynchburg Hornets. SBC faced a tough opponent in Lynchburg College and lost 21-4.

Each team used two goalies. SBC started Emily Williams (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville) and inserted Ashton Reid (Concord, Va./Rustburg) for the second half. Alison McLamb (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) led the Vixens with two goals. She also assisted on a beautiful fastbreak goal in the second half scored by Kimberly Orchowski (Crofton, Md./Arundel).

The Vixen lacrosse record now stands at 3-8 overall and 1-5 in the ODAC.  SBC will take on Roanoke College in a home contest on Wednesday, April 9 at 4:30 p.m. on Babcock Field.
