Vixens and Marlins Battle at the Beach

NORFOLK, Va. --- Sweet Briar Lacrosse traveled to the coast for an away contest at Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday, March 30.  SBC came up short in its bid for an Old Dominion Athletic Contest win.  The host Marlins outlasted the Vixen squad by the score of 15-7.

Sam Schwartz (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) netted three goals on the afternoon and sophomore keeper Caroline Baker (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) made a dozen saves in the Sweet Briar effort.

The Vixens head to Salem, Va. for a match with Roanoke College on Wednesday, April 3.  After a month long hiatus, SBC Lacrosse returns to the friendly confines of Babcock Field.  The team hosts league newcomer Shenandoah University in an April 6 ODAC contest.  The game will begin at 2 p.m.

Next Saturday's game with the visiting Hornets also marks the beginning of SBC's week long celebration of the NCAA's Division III Week.  Look for more information next week.
