Jean Hazelwood is the Director of Sports Information and Athletic Facility Operations at Sweet Briar College.  Hazelwood's facility duties include managing the 53,000 square foot Fitness and Athletic Center along with the Daisy Williams Gymnasium and all outdoor facilities.  New for 2011, Hazelwood also serves as the Sports Information Director.  She is responsible for all Vixen athletic communications.  In addition to maintaining the vixenathletics.com website, Hazelwood also manages Vixen Athletics Social Media, oversees NCAA and ODAC statistical reporting and serves as the athletic department liaison with the Sweet Briar College office of Media, Marketing and Communications.

Hazelwood is a 1998 graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College where she was a member of both the varsity soccer and basketball teams.  After R-MWC she earned her master's of education in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg University. Hazelwood has many years of experience in the sports management field. She interned at Brown University, serving as an event manager for the university's varsity athletic department. She worked as a facility manager at Vassar College where she assisted in the daily operation of the athletic facilities and managed game day operations for 25 varsity sports.  Prior to her start at Sweet Briar College, Hazelwood directed athletic facility operations at Randolph College.
